Instructions for Promotion to a Mature Project
- Review the fd.io Technical Community Charter Promotion Review requirements to get a clear picture of what is required.
- # Replace ${projectname} in the URL https://wiki.fd.io/view/Promotion_Proposal/${projectName}?action=edit&preload=Promotion_Proposal/Template and enter it in your browser bar. This will copy in the Promotion Proposal Template into your new page.
- Fill out the template and save your promotion review proposal page.
- Add a link to your proposal to the Promotion Proposals Section of this page.
- When you are happy with your proposal, email the mailing list for the project requesting the project committers vote to seek promotion to being a Core Project.
- Majority vote of project committers are required to seek Mature to Core.
- When the committers have voted to seek graduation to Core, send email to tsc@lists.fd.io using this email template.
- You should expect questions and feedback on your proposal from the community in response to your email, please be prepared to respond and engage.
