Becoming a Mature Project

Instructions for Promotion to a Mature Project

1. Review the fd.io Technical Community Charter Graduation Review requirements to get a clear picture of what is required.
2. # Replace ${projectname} in the URL https://wiki.fd.io/view/Graduation_Proposal/${projectName}?action=edit&preload=Graduation_Proposal/Template and enter it in your browser bar. This will copy in the Graduation Proposal Template into your new page.
3. Fill out the template and save your graduation review proposal page.
4. Add a link to your proposal to the Graduation Proposals Section of this page.
5. When you are happy with your proposal, email the mailing list for the project requesting the project committers vote to seek graduation to being a Mature Project.
   1. Majority vote of project committers are required to seek Graduation to Mature.
6. When the committers have voted to seek graduation to Mature, send email to tsc@lists.fd.io using this email template.
   1. You should expect questions and feedback on your proposal from the community in response to your email, please be prepared to respond and engage.
